ATTENTION POLO FANS!
We regret to announce that due to the unseasonably wet weather affecting Florida, this coming Sundays match game has been cancelled, along with polo throughout south Florida.
When the field is too wet for play several things have to be taken in to consideration: 1) Safety of the players and horses. A wet field can be very slippery and with polos hard stops and quick turns the chance of an accident is too great. 2) Damage to the field.
Even on a perfect field the game of polo by it’s very nature produces divots or gauges in the surface. A wet field exaggerates this and in extreme cases it can take days for the field to return to normal.
So, start making plans for Sunday January 24th and the first Tournament of 2016, the 4 Goal Kahle Cup. See you at Polo!
